Devo anti-static technology for abrasives
25/01/2007
During sanding, sanding dust is generated that has a positive charge, while the sander, sanding belt and workpiece are negatively charged. This happens especially when sanding poor conductors such as wood, polyester, lacquers and varnishes. As a result, the sanding dust sticks stubbornly to the sander, the sanding belt and the workpiece. This makes removing the dust very difficult and the extraction process less effective.
Using sandpaper manufactured with anti-static technology prevents the sanding dust from becoming electrically charged. This significantly improves dust extraction.
The advantages of this technology are clear:
- Extended service life of the sanding belt because it does not fill up as quickly.
- Increased cutting power of the sanding grit.
- Improved finish grade of the workpiece.
- Reduced maintenance and energy costs.
- Healthier and more pleasant working conditions.
When you choose abrasives with anti-static technology, you enjoy these benefits and improve the efficiency of your sanding process.
