Extra matt, one-component water-based PU varnish and primer - 2 in 1.

Devo Basic is recommended as an easily applicable primer before Devo Passage, among others.

In 3 layers, Devo Basic can also be used to finish floors with a low to medium floor load. This water-based, low discolouring, extra matt, elastic and sealing finish for interior use gives a "natural effect" to wooden floors.

Devo Basic can also be used indoors on wooden doors, furniture, ceilings,

• Quick-drying;
• No sticking;
• Little discolouration of the wood;
• Easy to use.

Substrate preparation: The substrate must be clean, dry, dust-free and free from grease, floor polish, oil and old coatings.

Product preparation: shake well and stir before use.

Application: with short-haired varnish/varnish roller, brush or spray gun.

Paint roller or brush: always work in strips of maximum 60-80 cm wide. First with a brush the edges, then with a roller first crosswise to the grain, then roll out evenly lengthwise. Allow the strips to flow into each other. Apply 1 coat if using Devo Basic as a primer and finish further with 2 coats of another Devo varnish. Apply 3 coats if Devo Basic is used as a varnish for low to medium stress applications.

Airless: nozzle: 0.2 - 0.3; pressure: 80 - 120 bar.

Airless: nozzle: 1 - 2 mm; pressure: 2 - 3 bar.

Finish: after 5 to 6 hours. Between the 2nd and 3rd coat, lightly sand with mesh disc grain 220 using a rotary machine or manually. Devo Basic can also be used as a primer before further finishing with 2 coats of Devo Transit or Passage. Light sanding between 2nd and 3rd coat is then done in the same way.

Can be walked on: after 4 hours.

Full curing time: 7 days.

Processing temperature: do not process at temperatures below 12°C or above 25°C.

Consumption: 10 - 14 m²/L per coat.

Tool cleaning: with water.

Maintenance: from 2 weeks after finishing: with Devo Fresh & Clean and Devo Polish. See also the Devo maintenance sheet for varnished floors.

Shelf life: in well-closed packaging, minimum 1 year. Store frost-free and protect from high temperatures.
