Traditional wood filler based on cellulose resin. Does not contain water. To be mixed with fine sanding dust.
Colourless synthetic resin used as a binding agent. Mixed with fine pure wood sanding dust, this resin forms a paste with the same colour as the wood, very suitable for filling joints, cracks and all other damages in parquet or plank floors. Easily sandable and fast-drying. Compatible with all finishing products.
- Little shrinkage;
- Very hard after drying;
- Good colouring;
- Good adhesion;;
- Fast curing;
- Good sandability.
Substrate preparation: The substrate must be sanded, clean, dry, free of grease and dust.
Product preparation: mix Devo Jointkit with fine wood powder obtained by sanding with fine sandpaper. The mixture obtained should be a firm and workable paste. The ratio for the mixture is approximately 1 part wood powder per 3 parts Devo Jointkit, but always depends on the type of wood, the grain thickness and the desired consistency of the paste. For the filling of fine seams, cracks and damages in wooden floors, it is recommended to make the paste a little more fluid to facilitate penetration, and for larger cracks and holes the paste should be firmer.
Always mix Devo Jointkit with sanding dust in a bucket and never on the parquet floor, as this may cause stains!
Application: with spatula or jointing knife.
For open knots or holes: push the Devo Jointkit mixture forcefully into the hole with a spatula and round off abundantly. When filling large holes or knots, depending on the mixture ratio Devo Jointkit/sandpaper used, the filling may shrink. In this case, a second filling may be necessary after drying.
For larger surfaces: spread the mixture Devo Jointkit evenly over the entire surface with a wide jointing knife. Work in strips +/- 60 cm wide in S-shape movements. If the mixture in the pot starts to stiffen during use, you can dilute again by adding a small amount of Devo Jointkit and mixing.
Pot life: approx. 10 to 15 min.
Drying time: 30 to 50 min. depending on the quantity applied and the width of the joints. For filling knots and larger holes, allow to dry overnight.
Finishing: sand surface after complete drying. Devo Jointkit is perfectly colourable and can be finished with all DevoNatural finishing products.
Processing temperature: 5 - 35°C.
Consumption: strongly depends on: state of the substrate, type of wood, width of joints, mixing ratio used, etc. Approximately 5 - 15 m²/L.
Tool cleaning: uncured product: Devo PU Cleaner or Devo Wet Wipes Cured product: mechanically with spatula and/or sandpaper.
Shelf life: in well-closed packaging at least 12 months.
Waste: dispose of residues and empty containers according to local authority regulations.
