Three-component primer with very high water resistance. Also suitable for non-absorbent floors such as marble, old tiled floors, etc.

Primer for damp substrates. Extremely suitable for treating concrete floors, cement screeds, anhydrite, old tile and natural stone floors, etc.

Special properties: Due to the combination of high-quality epoxy binders and the hygrophobic properties of quartz powder, Devo Primer HydroBlock 3C possesses exceptional moisture-resistant properties and gives extremely good adhesion. Devo Primer HydroBlock 3C can therefore be used for applications where other primers are inadequate.

Technical note: only use compatible Devo Glue PU 570 2C and Devo Glue PU 650 2C! Optimal adhesion if bonded within 72 hours after application of the last coat of Devo Primer Hydroblock 3C. For best results, always sprinkle the final coat with dry quartz sand grit 1 or 1.2.

Instructions for use

Substrate preparation: always carry out a moisture measurement first with the appropriate devices (preferably do not exceed the following moisture values: 6% measured with the carburettor meter, 3% for cement screeds with underfloor heating, and anhydrite 0.5%, also with underfloor heating). The substrate must be clean, dry, grease-free, whole and free of loose particles. All imperfections such as cracks and fissures must be repaired beforehand with a paste of Devo Primer Hydroblock 3C or another Devo Primer mixed with fine dry sand. Thoroughly degrease tile and natural stone floors with Devo PU Cleaner or water and soda, rinse well and allow to dry. Coarse sanding of the floor (e.g. with a rotary machine and diamond segment plate) is recommended to obtain perfect adhesion with Devo Primer HydroBlock 3C. Product preparation: always bring the product to room temperature +/- 20°C before use. Pour the A-component and B-component together in a bucket and mix well with an electric mixer to obtain a homogeneous mass. Then add the C-component quartz powder and mix again with an electric mixer to obtain a uniform mixture.

Application: by brush or varnish roller. For brush application, dilute the product with 5% water. For optimal waterproofing apply minimum 500 G/m², 2nd layer crosswise on top of the first in a homogeneous manner. The 2nd layer can be applied as soon as the first layer is walkable (approx. 4 - 6 hrs depending on ambient temperature and humidity). In order to obtain optimal adhesion of the parquet to be bonded, Devo Primer HydroBlock 3C can be sprinkled with dry quartz sand grit 1.0 or 1.2 immediately after application of the last coat (average consumption 200 to 300 G/m².) After drying, the surface must be brushed and vacuumed in order to remove non-adherent particles.

Pot life: 45 - 60 min.

Drying time: 4 to 6 hours.

Bonding: after sufficient drying (18 to 24 hours) with the compatible 2-component Devo Glue PU 570 2C or Devo Glue PU 650 2C.

Can be walked on: after 3 - 4 hours (depending on humidity and temperature).

Full cure time: 48 - 72 hours (depending on the number of layers applied, humidity and temperature).

Processing temperature: 10 - 30°C.

Consumption: 500 G/m² in 2 layers, 250 G/m² per layer.

Tool cleaning: water.

Shelf life: 6 months at a temperature between 5 and 25°C.

Waste: dispose of residues and empty packaging according to local authority regulations.
