Quick-drying impregnating protective and anti-slip product for application on exterior wood. With sunblocker and anti-slip effect.

Application: Devo SunShield Wood Protector is a monocomponent aqueous impregnating agent formulated with the addition of UV protectants (UV blocker), for the protection of all types of wood used outdoors: exotic woods (IPE, teak, bangkirai, cumaru, padouk, movingui,. ...), European hardwoods (oak, chestnut, walnut, birch, …), resinous woods (red cedar, larch, Douglas, etc.), as well as heat-treated wood or fireproofed in autoclave.

Devo SunShield Wood Protector is an ideal product for the protection of terraces and exterior wooden joinery that protects the wood against lignin breakdown, loss of fibre cohesion and dimensional instability and cracking.

With its self-crosslinking technology, it creates a durable film, particularly suitable for the protection of wooden floors and terraces in residential and commercial areas with medium to heavy traffic.

Devo SunShield Wood Protector is an ANTISLIP product. Class 3 (Rd> 45). Product tested according to UNE-ENV 12633:2003

Surface preparation: the surface must be clean, dry, dedusted and free from grease, floor polish, oil, and old coatings. If necessary, sand with P100 or P120. The external temperature during application should not be below 13°C.

Product preparation: Choose the colour most similar to the colour of the wood. The pigment in the product helps to protect your wood longer. Shake well before use.

Application: Not all woods react in the same way. Always test on a small area before treating the whole surface. Apply a first coat with a brush or block brush in the direction of the wood grain. After 2 hours drying a second coat can be applied. Sanding between coats is not necessary.

Drying time: after 3 - 4 hours.

Can be walked on: +/- 48 hours.

Processing temperature: do not process at temperatures below 13°C or above 22°C. Avoid application in direct sunlight.

Consumption: 10 - 14 m²/L per coat.

Tool cleaning: with water.

Maintenance: interval varying from 4 monthly to annually, depending on the situation and factors; horizontal or vertical, driving rain or direct sunlight, sea air, salt water, ... In case of minimal soiling or deterioration it is sufficient to clean with Devo Outdoor Woodcleaner and apply a new layer of Devo SunShield Wood Protector. In case of more soiling or corrosion, a new (light) sanding may be necessary.

Shelf life: in well-closed packaging at least 1 year. Store frost-free and protect from high temperatures.
